“Small Traders and Hawkers Group Receive Financial Aid from Chief Minister”

Tuaran — Sabah Chief Minister YAB Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor this morning distributed financial aid to a group of 50 rural small traders and hawkers.

The financial aid was distributed during a ceremony held at Pusat Kebudayaan Rumpun Bajau Sama, Tuaran and is an effort by the State Government to help increase the income and standard of living within rural communities. The objective of the programme is to provide full financing for the cost of purchasing business-related equipment and the cost of refurbishing existing stalls, which can increase the income of hawkers and traders in rural areas.

Supervision and monitoring of the effectiveness of the provided aid will be carried out by the local authorities, while the funds will be channelled by the Sabah Economic Development and Investment Authority (SEDIA).

In his speech, the Chief Minister of Sabah said that the aid given during the ceremony this morning was not merely financial contribution, rather it also symbolised the government’s support and appreciation for their efforts in building and developing the local economy.

He said, ” I believe that the success of a country is not only measured in terms of economic growth but also in its ability to provide support to those who develop small businesses. As the Chief Minister and also Chairman of SEDIA, my responsibility is to ensure that economic development of the region reflects fairness and equality”.

Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji also reminded everyone present on “the important role played by small traders and hawkers in the economic development of our country. They are the backbone of economic stability, they create job opportunities, and they help mould unique identities within their communities”.

Also present at the ceremony were YBhg Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hashim bin Paijan (Chief Executive of SEDIA), YBhg Datuk Abdul Kassim Jali (Chief Political Secretary to the Chief Minister), YBrs. Hazlan bin Hj Jablee (Tuaran District Officer) and ASP Darmansah bin Roslan (IPD Tuaran Head of District Management Division, representing Tuaran OCPD Superintendent Noraidin bin Ag Maidin).


“Golongan Peniaga Kecil dan Penjaja Terima Bantuan Kewangan daripada Ketua Menteri”

Tuaran  Ketua Menteri Sabah YAB Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor pagi ini menyerahkan bantuan wang kepada 50 penerima merupakan peniaga kecil dan penjaja dari kawasan luar bandar.

Bantuan wang yang diedarkan semasa majlis penyerahan bantuan di Pusat Kebudayaan Rumpun Bajau Sama, Tuaran adalah usaha Kerajaan Negeri untuk membantu meningkatkan pendapatan dan taraf hidup masyarakat. Objektif bagi program tersebut adalah untuk menyediakan pembiayaan sepenuhnya kos pembelian aset dan kos pengubahsuaian gerai jualan sedia ada, yang dapat meningkatkan pendapatan penjaja dan peniaga di luar bandar.

Seliaan dan pemantauan kerberkesanan bantuan akan dilaksanakan oleh Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan, manakala dana akan disalurkan oleh Pihak Berkuasa Pembangunan Ekonomi dan Pelaburan Sabah (SEDIA).

Ketua Menteri dalam ucapannya berkata, bantuan yang diedarkan pada majlis pagi ini bukan sekadar sumbangan kewangan semata-mata, tetapi ia juga melambangkan sokongan dan penghargaan kerajaan terhadap usaha mereka dalam membina dan memajukan ekonomi tempatan.

Katanya, “sebagai Ketua Menteri dan Pengerusi SEDIA, tanggungjawab saya adalah untuk memastikan pembangunan ekonomi wilayah mencerminkan keadilan dan kesaksamaan. Saya percaya bahawa kejayaan sebuah negara tidak hanya diukur dari segi pertumbuhan ekonomi tetapi juga daripada keupayaannya untuk memberikan sokongan kepada mereka yang berusaha dalam bidang perniagaan kecil”.

Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji turut mengingatkan semua yang hadir tentang “peranan penting yang dimainkan oleh peniaga kecil dan penjaja dalam pembangunan ekonomi negara kita. Mereka merupakan tulang belakang kepada kestabilan ekonomi, mencipta peluang pekerjaan, dan membantu mewujudkan identiti unik dalam komuniti kita”.

Turut hadir di majlis itu ialah YBhg Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hashim bin Paijan (Ketua Eksekutif SEDIA), YBhg Datuk Abdul Kassim Jali (Ketua Setiausaha Politik kepada Ketua Menteri), YBrs. Tuan Hazlan bin Hj Jablee (Pegawai Daerah Tuaran), dan ASP Darmansah bin Roslan (Ketua Bahagian Pengurusan Daerah, IPD Tuaran mewakili Ketua Polis Daerah Tuaran SUPT Noraidin bin Ag. Maidin).
